Chapter 5 ~ Christmas Vacation

After receiving my report card, it's time for the Christmas vacations. It started snowing, early in this season. I really felt cold and my body was shivering. I went outside to meet Bernardine and Elvina at the cafe. I'd probably get lost if Elvina didn't give the map of directions. While I was walking, I saw a very cute Christmas doll. It was really cute. And I can't stand cuteness. I ran into the store and asked the store keeper about the Christmas doll.
"Sir, how much is that doll?" I asked.
"You mean the one at the window?" he asked. I nodded.
"Well, about 100 pound!" he said.
"Oh. Thanks a lot sir!" I said. Darn it! Why should it be that expensive? I whispered to myself. Ah, what the heck, just forget about that. Ouugh, I have a meeting with Elvina and Bernardine, I shouldn't be here! I said to myself. After that, I ran out from the store to the meeting place.

At the cafe, I saw Elvina and Bernardine waiting for me, Bernardine waited patiently but Elvina can't wait that long.
"Uurgh, where did SHE go?" said Elvina impatiently.
"Now, now, just be patient and wait for her. I know she'll come!" said Bernardine.
"Yeah, but she's late." said Elvina with a grumpy face.
While Elvina was still muttering to herself, I ran to their table and and stopped.
"Hh, hh, sorry I'm late you guys!" I said.
"Ah, don't worry. You came just in time before Elvina starts to burst!" said Bernardine.
"Where DID you go, Agnes? You're LATE 10 minutes!" said Elvina with an angry tone.
"I'm SORRY, Elvina. It was the traffic, the traffic today is horrible!" I said, with a (sorta) fake smile.
"Hmph!" said Elvina, muttering to herself.
"Hehehe, So, Agnes just take a seat and let's talk about the team." said Bernardine with a serious face.
I sat down, next to Elvina. She won't even look at me. Then I whispered to Bernardine, "Hey, I think we shouldn't talk until Elvina has calm down."
"Yeah. I think we should do that, nice move!" whispered Bernardine. We both agreed, until Elvina calms down, we will talk business. I ordered a cup of tea, normally I'll order a tall glass of ice lemon tea, but it' winter, get real...no way I would drink that. Elvina finally calmed down after 10 minutes.
"So guys, let's talk about the team." said Elvina with a big smiling face.
That took her long enough to calm down. said Bernardine to herself.
What? Now she's smiling and after she yelled at me? Ah, well, at least it's better than 10 minutes ago. I said to myself.
After a while, Elvina started to clam up (sit down in silence), Me and Bernardine just looked at her. We were asking "Why is she so quiet?" in our heads. Then Elvina stood up and said, "Hey guys, let's go to the music store. I wanna check out some 'Muse' CD's."
"Okay." we both answered.
Elvina walked in front of us and we just followed her from the back. We got confused by her behavior on the way to the music store. It's like she's hiding something and we don't know what that is.
